POWER WAVE
Captured from the shore of Cap d’ Antibes, France. Taken just outside the walls of a villa one belonging to King Edward VIII of England. He who choose love instead of kingdom after he abdicated the throne to marry Miss Simpson.
When walking among such historic places, one gets overwhelmed with stories and myths and the affairs of others. Yet the power of nature, a crashing wave on the shore, is perhaps a truer metaphor for the power inside of us to collide with the world and create impact. It is preferable we use our power to do good deeds, like fall in love, and waive the pursuit of kingdoms and other vanities.

Strolling around the beautiful walking path at the Fort Carré in Antibes, France. The pink flowers are waving and smiling at me under the clear blue sky. I think of my passion for photography and how much I love what I shoot.
I would like ‘Pure Pink Passion’ to be about the internal flame burning inside of us. We are all good at something. Find your passion, color it, nourish it. What is stopping you? What obstacles? If you walk on a path with no obstacles it probably doesn’t lead anywhere. So, see the small pleasures in life, like the wildflowers on a path. Let them cheer you up and give you hope.

SCREAM GREEN
Phare de la Garoupe, Cap d’Antibes, France. Cycling to see the lighthouse was a lovely day out. A very pretty area with a wonderful view. I spotted this door - it kind of yelled out at me. So, I took its photograph and titled it “Scream Green”.
The image reminds me of the expression “One door opens, another door closes.” Scream Green is about holding on to let go. The secret is knowing what to hold on to and what to drop. Hold on to the things that matter, have meaning, and make you authentically happy. All else can go.

STANDING TALL
Taken in Fort Carré, Antibes, this image was taken while friends visited me in France, early Summer of 2013. I took them on a nice walk around the fort. The lighthouse and the nearby flowers were captured during the “blue hour” to conjure an unforgettable image!
Art often mimics life. We all need to "stand tall" and see the positive in situations. Life is full of choices and consequences. It’s about rising above doubters and trusting in your own decisions. You decide what’s right or wrong, and to act the best you can without having others judge. Believe in yourself. Be happy. Stand tall in style!

SEA GAP
Cap d’ Antibes, France is the perfect place for a stroll along the city’s promenade or beach. This view from the rocky road around the cap shows the flimsy fence is the only separation from the vast Mediterranean Ocean and the horizon beyond.
This image always makes me consider how the possibilities in life are wide open for those who dare to believe in themselves. Move past the flimsy obstacles, keep your focus on the goal in the horizon and surely your dreams can come true.
